Corona Update #24 – Maatregelen DGA

Today the government announced an extension of the support measures. In addition to being extended, points were also adjusted. Of course, the exact details still have to be finalized, but here are the most important changes in outline:  NOW  The NOW scheme will be extended by three months. It has also been adjusted on 3 important points:

  1. Penalty for dismissal will be cancelled. The previous scheme included a 50% fine for dismissal for economic reasons. This is not included in the extension, so dismissal for economic reasons becomes possible. There is discussion about a contribution from employers for retraining and further training
  2. In the new scheme, a maximum of 90% of the gross salary times 1.3 is not reimbursed, but a maximum of 90% of the gross salary times 1.4. So an expansion.
  3. To accommodate seasonal sectors, the wage bill for January is not taken into account, but the wage bill for March. This will probably even apply to the current NOW application if your wage bill was higher during the months of March to May than in January.

TOZO  The TOZO will also be extended. The most important change here is that a partner income test is applied this time. It is still unknown what this test will look like. TOGS  The one-off compensation of €4,000 will be adjusted to a compensation based on the size of the company. This compensation is up to a maximum of 20,000 euros. Tax deferral  The tax deferral, where you can defer tax payment for three months without penalty, is also being extended. Just like last time, we have to wait for the full elaboration and implementation, but in any case they show that they have listened carefully to the criticism of the first scheme. We are of course very happy with that! Finally, they regularly indicated between the lines that such support measures will also come to an end and that they will not simply be extended by three months each time, so keep that in mind. We will send more regular updates again in the coming weeks, because the new measures will then be elaborated. Would you like to do something for us?  Now that we have arrived at a time when we can give each other an extra helping hand, we have a question for you! We always enjoy receiving feedback and hope that you might have a few seconds to spare
